New York Times and its disclaimer

The New York Times, in its reproduction of the propaganda of the Syrian exile opposition, often invokes its disclaimer to the effect that it lies and it copies uncritically the propaganda of the exile opposition because the Syrian government prevents journalists from traveling to Syria.  Yet, the paper--when it wants--it cites its correspondents or "employees" in Syria.  Which way is it, o New York Times?
