It is legal in the US

It is now legal in the US to send money to armed Syrian groups who kidnap hostages, slit the throat of prisoners, engage in sectarian killing, and kidnap for ransom.  Yet, if you send a penny to a hospital run by Hamas or Hizbullah you will go to jail for years.
