This saying (about the killing of the Duke d'Enghien) attributed to Talleyrand applies to what pro-Syrian regime politician, Michel Samahah, is accused of--if true.  But then again, the Syrian regime can be that criminal and that dumb, I have to say, while asserting that anything that comes out of the Intelligence Apparatus of Lebanon (which is run independently by the Hariri family on behalf of US and Saudi Arabia) should be treated with tons of salt.
