Ajami's wishful thinking

This article by Ajami is so flawed: there is absolutely no evidence of a Saudi-Egyptian alliance.  If anything, the signs of the rift are all over.  Egyptian foreign policy is no more a replica of Saudi foreign policy.  Ikhwan base is very hostile to Saudi Arabia and the hatred distrust are mutual.  But Ajami--like other Zionists--want to delude himself into thinking that Israel can recreate the regional order that it lost when Mubarak fell.  Fat chance.  Also, Saudis are furious that there is little evidence of anti-Iranian sentiments in Ikhwan rhetoric.
