Repression in Jordan (or what Human Rights Watch does not notice)

My colleague Maria sent me this:  "This is in the news this morning in Jordan: violent repression in Salt against Salafi demonstrators is leading to a broader protest about the role of Darak (and their use of torture) and as you can see some are asking for its director to resign. The radio is fired up about this (I do not think you can find it today in Jordan Times or Ammon News), and some journalists are actively criticizing the Darak. Few days ago the Darak used tear gas to repress a demonstration. It seems to me, as one of your comrades commented few weeks ago, that indeed the police is escalating the use of violence."
