I am guilty, I am guilty: Syria in 1976

Supporters of the Syrian regime have recently been leveling this charge on me on Facebook, Twitter and in print.  They said that I have not recovered from a complex: the Syrian military intervention in Lebanon in 1976 which crushed the Lebanese and Palestinian armed resistance groups.  To that I say: guilty.  Very guilty, and I never claimed otherwise.
