cover up the war crimes, please

"At the same time, some officials here — including some American diplomats — express worry that releasing the report will actually trigger new civil strife."  It is funny because when some Lebanese personalities suggested--merely suggested--to US officials that maybe the Hariri tribunal should be shelved because it may trigger a civil war, the Americans were indignant and pushed through and sad that such crimes could never be shelved and that the killers (unless they  work for Israel and/or US) should be punished.
