"At Columbia this hysteria has led elements of the Zionist community to attempt “defenses” of Israel that, at best fall limp, and are at times destructively bizarre. One such incident that fell into the latter category this year was the failed “steering” investigation of a Barnard professor instigated by the North American professorial organization, Scholars for Peace in the Middle East. Representatives of SPME later admitted that they thought the investigation would focus on Columbia professor Joseph Massad rather than the, by all accounts, well-meaning Barnard professor who was the only professor who had to endure federal questioning in the end. What should most disturb us about the “steering” case is that pro-Israel advocacy organizations chose to spend their time and resources initiating a dubious investigation instead of encouraging Columbia students to formulate stronger and more nuanced Zionist ideology that they can then use, if they wish, to counter Massad and others like him." Who can disagree that Zionists are both: dumb and criminal.
