Lebanese politicians prostrate

""With the absence of Prince Nayef, the Saudi Kingdom as well as the Arab and Muslim community lose a distinguished man known for his courage, wisdom and support of Arab causes, " said Mikati, who will be traveling to Saudi Arabia Monday to participate in the funeral. “Lebanon loses a friend and a brother who has never hesitated in standing by the Lebanese people, especially in times of crises and reconciliation,” he added.  “We in Lebanon feel the gravity of this great loss and the absence of a man who loved our country and contributed to supporting its legitimate institutions,” said Hariri, who is currently in Saudi Arabia. He also said that Nayef assisted Lebanon in the most difficult of circumstances.  Meanwhile, Grand Mufti Sheikh Mohammad Rashid Qabbani called on all mosques in Lebanon to hold the Prayer of the Departed for Nayef.  Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and former President Amin Gemayel also expressed their condolences to the Saudi king's family and the Saudi people. Gemayel praised the role Nayef played in strengthening Lebanese-Saudi relations, saying that Lebanon lost a dear friend who had always fought for its rights." (thanks Basim)
