This guy is an example of the fake liberalism so fashionable in the US.  Would this guy ever dare consider calling for arming of Palestinian rebels, ever?  "So what could be done? In Syria, we should make clear that unless the security forces depose Assad in the next 30 days, our Middle Eastern allies will arm the Syrian opposition."  So you want the brutal and savage arm of the regime to depose the ruler?  What future do you promise the Syrians?  A rule by the very intelligence apparatus that terrorized the Syrian people?  People like you should just stop pontificating and should keep the mawkish liberalism to private dinner parties.
