killing

Syrian regime TV aired a segment of a tapped conversation between two armed guys (one of them clearly was manning a checkpoint): the one tells the others to "slight the throat" of the recent captors and to show them to the media as victims of regime brutality.  I have no way for me to comment on the validity of tape since I disbelieve the media of the regime and of the exile Syrian opposition.  But I should say that readers should be exposed to the views and propaganda of the other side as Western media talk and listen to one side only, in what increasingly is becoming uncivil sectarian bloodshed, thanks to Qatari and Saudi intervention in Syrian affairs which robbed the Syrian people of a genuine popular uprising.  New York Times correspondents, like Neil MacFarquhar, who don't know Arabs restrict their intake of Syrian regime media to the English language website of Syrian News agency as if it is the only media of the other side.
