Journalistic scandal: covering Syria versus covering Saudi Arabia

There are many things that one can say here but just notice this trend: in all articles in the Western media about Syria, most analysts cited in articles are Syria are Syrian dissidents and Zionist hoodlums.  In all articles: just check the New York Times for example.  Compare that to articles about Saudi Arabia: dissidents are rarely cited and comrade Madawi Al-Rasheed who knows more about Saudi Arabia than most is never cited for example.  Instead, they cite House of Saud's propagandists like this dude:  "“You could set your clock by Prince Salman’s schedule,” said Khaled Almaeena, the editor of The Saudi Gazette newspaper."  Can you imagine an article about Syria in the New York Times in which a propagandist for Bashshar is cited commenting on his punctuality?  What quality of journalism is this?
