"Ibn Rushd" sent me this: "In 2007, Sarko appointed Christine Ockrent as director of France 24. She's
the wife of former foreign minister Kouchner, they're very pro-Israel and he
supported the Iraq War. Ockrent fired a lot of good journalists. For the Arabic Station, she
appointed Lebanese journalist Nahida Nakad and thee were a lot of internal
protests. Ockrent later had to quit after it turned out she (was accused of spying) on employees. I think france 24 remains very disorganized and messy, and this is as much
of a problem as the ideology. They rely extensively on young poorly paid journalists and legions of
interns".
