`Abdul-Basit Sida: professor of philosophy and Arabic?

Several people in Sweden confirmed to me what I had assumed: that `Abdul-Basit Sida is not--as the New York Times has identified him--a "professor of philosophy and Arabic" in Sweden.  My informants tell me that he never taught philosophy.  One person sent me:  "It looks like he worked as a teacher of arabic (for students who have Arabic speaking families) at a high school in the city of Uppsala."
