However, he was able to give an inspiring and intelligent face to the Syrian revolution".  So he is cultured and intelligent?  Is that rare a quality for the natives to have, Joshua?  Tell us more about this.  Also, I think you got me dizzy in this part:  "The fact that Syrians inside distrust those outside the country is perhaps natural, but it is also a product of years of indoctrination, xenophobia and anti-Westernism that has been preached by the Baath Party."  So if people oppose manipulation by NATO or Saudi Arabia or Qatar (are those Western countries, Joshua), it means that they are suffering from Arab nationalist delusions?  Please help me out here.
