A Syrian reader sent me this: "There are a few characters who really annoy me by a combination of:
shear ignorance which includes the fact that they are ignorant of the fact that they are ignorant.
This is a disaster! Heitham Mann'a is one such a character, always competing for first place with the other opportunist-in-waiting Mr. Kilo. It is not only in political analysis, in political strategy or even in
good manners... The man can't waste an opportunity to allude to his "struggle" in the most bizarre and fatuous manner! Manna' today opined, as a learned man, that "the explosions in Damascus required highly skilled specialists that are not available amongst the Syrian Opposition." That is the Syrian government bombed itself! Today, Syrian blood on his gentle, Parisian-creamed hands. He now is
taking a step in defending murderers. The explosives used, as may be perceived by their colossal weight, are very primitive and were probably concoctions with fertilizers being a mainstay, etc. Second, we did see what the terrorists - member of the so-called Manna' Opposition - planned for the explosions in Aleppo. The barrels, long LPG (butane gas) cylinders with the top sawn off, and a very primitive detonator, attests to the level of sophistication of the murderers - now defended by Dr. Manna'. But Manna' is always in denial. The armed groups would kill scores of people while he sips his coffee, take a bite from his croissant, and declare that nothing like that happened. All what one hopes is that the Syrian National Council blesses, him and passes to him whatever he seems to be waiting for in Paris for 25 years! Not a stray remark about to the dead and the catastrophe that befell their families. Not a word to the hundreds injured in the hospitals. They are probably the ammunition of the senile 'Professional Opposition' on the imagined road to power!"
