Those two stations (one owned by House of Thani in Qatar and the other by House of Saud in Saudi Arabia) are the official voices of the Arab counter-revolution. For the last few days, they have been leading a campaign against the Egyptian people accusing them of conspiring against "stability" and talking about "foreign connections". Both were setting the stage for a crack down by the Military Council. Fortunately, the time of crack down has long gone because the factor of fear in Egypt (and in Syria for that matter) has been eliminated once and for all. Al-Arabiyya (the news station of King Fahd's brother-in-law) led with the news today that the Egyptian people are not really angry at the military junta but that they are angry at the visit by a Lebanese Shi`ite cleric to Egypt and at the opening of Husayniyyah. Kid you not.
