Syrian regime

I wrote this on Twitter in Arabic: my problem with the Syrian regime is not only that it is repressive, and cowardly (toward Israel and Saudi Arabia), and that it killed the promising Lebanese revolution in 1976, but that it is "haqir" in Arabic, in the sense that it lacks self-respect.  Like all Arab regimes, of course.
