The friendship with an Israeli politician

Whenever an American runs for president, he/she has to produce to the press evidence of a friendship with an Israeli right-wing politician.  The more extreme the better. These are convenient friendships.  This is like the story that Bill Clinton used to tell: about his pastor in Arkansas who told him on his deathbed to take care of Israel.  These are stories that are often told. When famed war criminal, Rabin died, more than a 100 American politician claimed that they were best friends with him.  Bill Clinton now says that he never loved a man except Rabin.  Kid you not.
