When the New York Times justifies armed struggle

"Government opponents started as a nonviolent movement, but many said they were forced to take up arms in response to the violent government suppression of their uprising."  Well, Mr. MacFarquhar: the same justification can be given to armed Palestinian resistance. Do you think that we will ever read this by you: Israeli opponents started as a nonviolent movement, but many said that they were forced to take up arms in response to the violent Israeli suppression of their revolt. Will we?
