To publish about Israel in the New York Times

Raed sent me this: "I sat through the recently completed Kennedy School One State Conference for Israel/Palestine. One of the speakers was Sarah Schulman who authored this op-ed in the NY times about Israeli Pinkwashing
So some one asked her what it took for the 900 word article to be published? She responded by explaining an excruciating process of compiling 300 pages of back up from Arabic, English and Hebrew sources, and 3 months of contentious argument with the editor to the point of being yelled at. She also conceded that had she not possessed a Jewish name, her article would probably not have been published. Contrast this, with the extreme willingness these days of the NY times, and many other news organizations to publish unverified and unsubstantiated news of violence by the Syrian Regime and it becomes apparent how the NY Times as it pertains to the Middle East usually toes the party line, and enforces its inherent biases and agendas..."
