Fahmi Huwaydi

I have written before that Fahmi Huwaydi is by far the most widely read columnist in the Arab world.  He is a "moderate" Islamist with strong stance against Israel.  He is very cowardly against Arab regime, and even against the Mubarak regime.  His positions after 2003, led many Saudi publications, like the mouthpiece of Prince Salman, Ash-Sharq Al-Awsat, to ban him.  Here, he tells us that he was invited for the first time to Saudi Arabia in ten years.  After spending a few days, he came back with positive impressions.  Do you think that Saudi Arabia ever invite anyone who it does not know is going to be positive later?  (thanks Ahmet)
