Asma' Al-Asad

I never heard Asma` Al-Asad speak.  Today, I heard her speak for the first time ever.  Has she spoken publicly before?  I heard that her Arabic is weak, but she spoke like a native.  Has she taken lessons?  Of Arab leaders who took lessons of Arabic, King PlayStation did better than, say, Sa`d Hariri.
