Again: accusing the Syrian regime of bombing itself

I mean this.  If Bashshar Al-Asad is assassinated, the New York Times would cite a source in Syria to the effect that Bashshar shot himself to get sympathy.  "But Ms. Khuri, the lawyer, suspected a different conspiracy, on the part of the government.  “It’s a security chess game, moving the stones the way they want,” she said in a telephone interview. “It’s a trick.”"  And the next time a bomb goes off in Israel, I would like to be interviewed by the New York Times correspondent in Beirut to state that Israeli security services were behind the bombing.
