Tribes and clans of Syria

In a pathetic show of desperation, the Syrian regime media have been lately filled with "shows of support" from the patriarchal male elders of the tribes and clans of Syria.  They are resorting to the method of US colonialism in Iraq--or the methods of all colonizers in the Middle East--who know that tribes are clans can't be sold but they are up  for rent.
