Press restrictions in Syria (and Israel)

The New York Times has been complaining about press restrictions in Syria.  Let me respond: 1) I am against any press restrictions and I am in favor of journalists sneaking into countries that prohibit the press. I myself have assisted (through contacts there) some Western journalists who wanted to sneak into Syria in the last months.  2) Why didn't Western media complain about press restrictions by Israel on many occasions especially during the assault on Gaza?  3) Why don't Western media ALWAYS tell readers that all dispatches from Israel are subject to a censor? 4) In the 1980s, Henry Kissinger and many other Zionists openly called on Israel to ban the press as it massacres and represses Palestinians.  No complaints were registered.
