So MacFarquhar has a most fair and informative piece on the bombings in Aleppo. He maintains the healthy skepticism that is lacking in reporting on Syria these days. My criticism is his reliance on the "expertise" of an staffer at the Zionist Washington Institute for Near East Policy. Here is my question: back in the 1990s, the Institute (even in Zionist publications like the Times) was always identified as "the pro-Israel" and now that label is gone, thus leaving the ill-informed reader with the impression that the "experts" at the institute are objective observers and not Zionists in residence (all people at the institute are Zionists-in-residence, and that include the token Arabs who are hired to translate and fetch sandwiches for the senior Zionists).
PS None of the Arab (read Saudi and Qatari-funded) carried the information in the article that US officials accuse Al-Qa`idah in Mesopotamia of the bombings.
