Aljazeera's parameters of debate

It has become comical: what is allowed and what is not allowed on Aljazeera Arabic. Take the popular program Al-Ittijah Al-Mu`kis: a guy calls Bashshar Al-Asad names: like pig, dog, agent, Hitler, etc.  And when the other guest attempted to point out that there are no democracies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, he was immediately stopped in mid-sentence and was told: we don't want defamation.  Kid you not.
