Fouad Ajami: the writer

Ajami has gone so far in his ideological (politically opportunistic) journey, that he is not readable anymore.  I always warn young Arab writers about the high price of opportunism.  I was reading a piece that Ajami wrote for the Wall Street Journal, he sounds like a press secretary for any Republican Senator.  The last insight on the Middle East that the man had expressed was back in 1978.  Such a long time.
