Arab (Saudi and Qatari and Hariri) media are desperate for any news that is damaging to the Syrian regime. Yesterday, the headlines of Arabic newspaper, and the first item of the news broadcast (even on Lebanese TV stations) was the news of "the first major defection in the Syrian regime". I really expected a major defection by a senior minister. It turns out that the guy holds this title:

(First inspector in the Central Agency of Financial Auditing). Wow. How can the regime function without that guy, I wonder.
