In his book, The Arabs and the Holocaust, Gilbert Achqar, makes a good point: that Zionist leaders object fiercely to any comparison between Israeli war crimes and Nazi crimes. They consider such an analogy to be anti-Semitic. Yet, they have casually, since 1948, labeled every Arab or Muslim opponent a "Hitler" and labeled any national movement that they have faced as Nazi. Totally inconsistent.
PS I do recommend this book, by Achqar, despite strong political disagreements between me and him (expressed over long pages of Al-Akhbar), and despite my disagreements over many things in the book. But I will return to that in an article for Al-Akhbar (probably English).
