Thomas Friedman: proud to be a blatant racist

"Was Iraq the way Iraq was because Saddam was the way Saddam was, or was Saddam the way Saddam was because Iraq is the way Iraq is."  Oh, no, Mr. Friedman. Saddam was savage because the Iraqi people are savages, just as the American occupation is savage because the natives are savages.  If the natives were not savages, the American occupation would have been peaceful and gentle.  And even Abu Graib: that was due t the savagery of the prisoners there.  (thanks Daniel)
