Is it an Iranian conspiracy in Bahrain, or a Syrian conspiracy?

Since Bassiouni's report stated that the protestors have no links to Iran, the regime after first insisting that they have classified evidence linking the protestors to Iran, and then changing their story and saying that Iran was controlling the protestors through their media reporters, is now saying that they have evidence that the protestors have been trained by.. wait for it... THE SYRIAN REGIME (never mind that Bashar AlAsad supported the crackdown)".
