Cherif Bassioni

So I asked Norman Finkelstein about his former colleague at DePaul University, Cherif Bassioni (former adviser on Camp David for Anwar Sadat).  Norman wrote to me this (I cite with his permission):  "I meant several time to write you about this. He was the ONLY high-profile academic at DePaul, which meant that he commanded a lot of clout. But throughout my tenure ordeal at DePaul, he did not utter a single word in my defense, or even against me. He just ducked for cover. A real profile in courage."
