Arrogant Bashshar Al-Asad

I can't believe it.  No, I can.  The arrogance of Bashshar Al-Asad, who is determined to believe his advisers and cronies who convinced him that he is loved all over Syria but all Syrians, has been a factor in the on-going uprising in Syria.  He has not bothered once to address the Syrian people (something Mubarak, Bin `Ali, and Qadhdhafi have done--or maybe this is why he won't, but still).  He has time to sit down for an interview with the lousy Barbara Walters, but can't find the time to address the Syrian people.
