Bashshar's political crisis

I am of the opinion that Bashshar compounded his own political problem with the (first) speech he delivered before the "People's Parliament" in Damascus.  The speech was so arrogant and so obnoxious and so condescending and so patronizing and so supercilious and so conceited that it only provoked the Syrian people further.  Sons of Arab dictators grew up on different planets.  They knew hangers-on: they never knew their own populations.  They all deserve what befall them.
