David Ignatius on Prince Sultan

I have never seen a reporter who consumes uncritically whatever Arab diplomats (provided they represent the reactionary Arab monarchies aligned with the US and Israel) more than David Ignatius. I read on the plane his latest column on Prince Sultan: he basically said that yes, he took bribes and embezzled but that he was charitable.  Can you imagine that defense in court?
