Egyptian regime media, and Aljazeera and Al-Arabiya, all were part of the clear blatant sectarian agitation against Copts in Egypt. The media coverage was just terrible. The Aljazeera bureau chief is terrible reporter and a mere propagandist for the Military Council. I so miss the able former bureau chief, Husayn `Adbdul-Ghani. And many reports yesterday, on TV and in print media, would refer to "clashes" between the Ahali (folks of the people) and the Copts, implying that the Copts are not part of the people. And the New York Times coverage today is so lacking: it talks about attacks on the Copts by "Muslims", forgetting that the attacks were by the Baltajiyyah (armed goons) of the Tantawi regime.
