The Sunnis are arming; the Sunnis are arming

And now comes the Orinetalist cliches when all Sunnis and all Shi`ites become part of monolithic blocs that allow Western experts to offer generalizations on all of them.  Who are those "Sunnis" who are arming?   It would be fair to say that Saudi Arabia and its clients in Lebanon are trying to arm some groups in Syria and equip them with sectarian agenda in cooperation with Syrian Muslim Brothers.  But this should not the season for generalizations and stereotypes about all Sunnis or about all `Alawites.
