How the New York Times defends Prince Al-Walid from accusations of rape

The New York Times does not believe that Al-Walid is guilty.  Why?  Well, here is their case for him: "Son of a gadfly senior prince, Talal ibn Abd al-Aziz, Prince Alwaleed has long been outspoken about expanding opportunities for women in the kingdom. The women who work in his Saudi offices are not segregated, nor do they have to wear the enveloping black abayas — his royal stature keeps them out of reach of the religious police who enforce such measures."  Let me translate into English: He works quietly with Israel and Israeli groups.
