A common Islamist ploy in the Middle East

The Ikhwan in Syria are doing the same: they stay in the background and they use their "liberal" lackeys.  "For an uprising that presented a liberal, Westernized face to the world, the growing sway of Islamists — activists with fundamentalist Islamic views, who want a society governed by Islamic principles — is being followed closely by the United States and its NATO allies."  Let me guess, when NATO realizes what it has done it will start...bombing again.  But this time it will bomb NATO rebels.
