Bahrain Update

Angry Arab chief correspondent on Bahrain:  "Jafar Hasan died on Sunday. He was beaten up by security forces in March. His injuries were so severe that he went to Jordan to treatment and then was transferred to the ICU unit in Bahrain's main hospital in August.  By the way, the government claims that Jawad Ahmed who died from tear gas suffocation on September 14, died from Sickle Cell Anemia.  The Anthony Shadid article best exemplifies what is happening in Bahrain. Yes the protests are going on, but there is also an atmosphere of severe repression."
