The new Egypt

Look at the swift reactions by Egyptian to Israeli crimes on Palestinians and on Egyptians yesterday.  Those who argue that the Egyptian uprising had no foreign policy goals don't read Arabic.  Look at this article in Al-Ahram on Egyptian popular reactions to Israeli crimes.  Yesterday, young Egyptians put the Israeli flag next to a collection of old shoes (shoes are offensive in Arab culture but not in Western culture, as you know).  There were demonstrations in front of the US and Israeli embassy.  Just watch nervous Israeli reactions to Egyptian reactions.  Eventually, the Military Council will face more difficulties in following dictates of the US.
