Carnage in Iraq: an Arab spring? Or an An Arab season of blood?

So much to mourn in the Arab world: victims in Iraq, Syria, and Libya.  Various killers involved: forces of foreign occupation and forces of tyrannical regimes are killing right and left.  Israel, of course, continues to kill Palestinians as routine.  The US wants Iraqis to be convinced that it alone can protect them while supervising a regime of occupation terror over them.  The so-called Arab spring should earn a different title: the season of blood?  Bravery on the part of the peoples and cruelty and savagery on the part of the ruling regimes and on the part of foreign occupation forces.  An article should be prepared (I am preparing one for Al-Akhbar) titled: the changing dynamics of the Arab spring.  What went wrong and what went right?
