US ambassador in Syria

So the Syrian people are protesting against their government.  That is their business and the Syrian uprising is for the Syrian people to undertake.  But the matter has to do with the career of Mr. Ford.  He was widely attacked by Zionists in Washington, DC for going on a government-sponsored tour of Jisr Ash-Shughur.  So to try to make up for his past sin, and to advance in his career pursuit, he went on this charade in Hama.  Just reverse the situation: imagine if there are civil rights and pro-democracy demonstrations in the US, would the Syrian ambassador dare to join them?? How would the US government react?  I am sure that he would be whisked out of the US right into...Guantanamo.  What is galling about this move also is that it is harmful for the Syrian uprising.  The US should butt out.

PS If the Syrian ambassador were to join a demonstration in the US, I am sure he would be taken on a military plane and his body would be "gently eased off" into the Arabian sea, just like Bin Laden.
