A childhood friend I saw in London brought this up to my attention. Alex suggested that I should utilize this blog to promote certain charities. I told him that we live in the US and that all charities in the Middle East are scrutinized and often made illegal by the US Treasury Department. But I think it is a good idea. If there are volunteers who can verify that a certain charity is not illegal by US Treasury Department's standards, we can proceed with recommendations for the benefit of certain charities, like the Middle East Children's Alliance. But beware: the Bush administration worked with American Task Force for Muhammad Dahlan to promote (some) lousy charities that are linked to Fath and Israel.
