Leader of the Syrian opposition? Watch this video.
It is such an insult to the Syrian people that this guy is being promoted in Western media as the "leader" of the Syrian opposition. What an insult to the talents, skills, and energy of the Syrian people that such a lousy personality is chosen to speak on behalf of the Syrian people. One thing about the Syrian people: they are (like Egyptians and unlike Lebanese--I am generalizing but bare with me) most articulate. And what a personality. At least Ahmad Chalabi was smart and articulate with a personality to match. But this guy? How racist. It is clear to me it is racism that would settle on this obviously talentedless guy as a "fine representative" of the Syrian people. But there can be another explanation: Westerners (especially Zionists) really prefer the natives when they are not very bright: they become easier to control. Maybe that is why Chalabi did not work out for the Americans. A Syrian reader tells me that this Syrian guy bragged on his FB page that his speech before Congress the other day was so effective that he "moved" a Zionist member of Congress. He did not know that members of Congress would cry on cue if it served Israeli occupation interests. What a joke.
