How many demonstrators in Syria

Osama sent me this:  "The propaganda media of Alarabiyya claimed that over 1 million and 200 thousand protesters were in Deir El-zor today in syria whereas SANA, the syrian regime propaganda outlet, said there were only 2 thousand.  The ratio of exaggeration by Alarabiyya (or underestimation by SANA) is 1200000/2000=600. This means that SANA counts 1 when alarabiyya counts 600 or that when alarabiyya counts 600 SANA only counts 1. That's really messed up."
