GCC and Tunisia

Ahmet sent me this:  "Asad...this Govt spokesman is now trying to spin it: he said that Tunisian Pm tour in the Gulf was primarily a political gesture to thank the three countries that welcomed and showed understanding of the Tunisian Revolution" [I am sure they did that, yeah]  and that he was not there to beg for money..yeah, i believe that, but what were you doing at the G8 Summit? Granted, Tunisia has never had deep relationships with the Gulf states with the exception of Qatar and the old friendship and well-established brotherhood of Prince Nayef and Ben Ali in repression (Nayef ,who after giving his annual lecture in the art of electrocution of genitals to the Arab Ministers of Interior at the body headquarters in Tunis, spends his month-long hunting holiday in the country..He cites that as hobby)..So this this can only prove that they just pay for counter-revolutionary purposes and that other than the obligatory talk of increasing investments in Tunisia , i guess that the Gulf is just an Ennahda turf at this point."
