Blake Hounshell: a fan of Libyan rebel's violence but in the case of Palestinians....

A journalist who wishes to remain anonymous sent me this:  "You must see this tweet from Blake Hounshell, Foreign Policy's Managing Editor:
So Hamas rejects the Palestinian statehood bid at the U.N. because it's not violent enough? http://t.co/XQZo4iw
He says this based on a few paragraphs in the Jpost article:

Ezat al-Risheq, a senior Damascusbased Hamas official, said that Abbas’s decision to go to the UN was an “individual step” that was not coordinated with other Palestinian factions.
“A Palestinian state should be extracted and not begged for,” Risheq said.
“The resistance is the only way for the Palestinians to extract their rights and liberate their land and establish their state.”

Hounshell applauded the Libyan rebels' armed resistance and the NATO war on that country. Yet when Palestinians demand the right to bear arms and liberate their land, it's mere violence. I cant imagine him supporting any other people's statehood while at the same time they dont have the right to defend themselves."
